In 1972, Carlo and Jean Giorlando embarked on a journey to open a charming po-boy shop in their neighborhood. It wasn’t uncommon to see Nonna, Jean’s mother, chatting with customers and lending a helping hand by busing tables. Their son, John Giorlando, joined the team in 1985, dedicating 18 years to mastering the art of culinary excellence under his parents’ guidance.
Unfortunately, in 2003, Carlo’s health began to decline, prompting John and his brother Paul to step up as partners and purchase the restaurant. With a combined 48 years of restaurant experience, John and Paul infused their unique talents and signature recipes into the business. Today, they continue to work tirelessly together, offering mouth-watering Italian dishes, seafood, daily features, and of course, their award-winning po-boys.
For more than 50 years, our loyal patrons have raved about our roast beef po-boy, often declaring it the best in town. Don’t take our word for it though, come in and ask them yourself! As a family-owned and operated establishment, we pride ourselves on keeping it in the family. Our doors never open unless a Giorlando is present, ensuring that every detail is overseen to perfection.
We invite you to make our home your own and experience our warm and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re dining solo or with loved ones, we look forward to serving you and hope to see you again soon. Thank you for choosing us as your dining destination!
